His Story
Greg Howse has been leading Cornerstone Christian Center, a multi-ethnic, cross-cultural congregation in the south suburbs of Chicago, since 1982, alongside his late wife, Karen. With his life experience in racial diversity, Cornerstone’s constituency includes African-American, Caucasian, and Hispanic/Latino members.
Greg’s main emphasis in ministry is to identify and raise up emerging leaders, as well as establishing “family” as the identity of the local church. He is the founder and president of Sharpening Stone Ministries International (SSMI), a network of leaders designed to equip leaders for advancement in spiritual strength and ability, led by a team of seasoned leaders.
Additionally, Greg is the father of two adult children and the grandfather of three young adults.
